There are some things you name because you need a name. And then there are things that, over time, you realize were naming the assignment all along.
For me, Provoking Thoughts is the latter.
Provoking Thoughts is not what I sell. It is how I serve.
It is a complete faith experience—one that begins on the inside, finds expression on the outside, and gives us reminders to carry along the way.
At its heart, Provoking Thoughts has always been an invitation to think more deeply about our faith. Not simply to read a Scripture and keep moving, but to pause. To examine. To allow the Word to challenge what we think, how we live, and what we believe.
Because before faith is ever displayed outwardly, something must first happen within.
It Starts on the Inside
Romans 12:2 tells us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
That is where the journey begins.
Through the devotional ministry of Provoking Thoughts, my desire has never been simply to give you something inspirational to read. I want to give you something to sit with.
Something that causes you to open the Word.
Something that makes you examine your own heart.
Something that may challenge the way you have always looked at a situation.
Something that draws you nearer to God.
Because to provoke a thought is not the same as provoking a person.
I am not interested in creating arguments. I am interested in interrupting autopilot.
Sometimes we can become so familiar with what we believe that we stop examining how we are living it. We quote the Scripture. We know the church language. We know when to say amen.
But every now and then, something needs to make us stop and ask:
What does the Word actually say?
And then:
What does that require of me?
That is Provoking Thoughts.
Then Faith Finds an Outward Expression
What begins internally should eventually become visible in the way we live.
That is where Provoking Thoughts Apparel enters the journey.
Our apparel allows you to wear the message.
Sometimes a few words across a shirt can start a conversation without you ever introducing the subject. Someone reads it. They pause. They think. Maybe they laugh first. Maybe they look twice. Maybe the message follows them long after you have walked away.
And just like that, a thought has been provoked.
The shirt is simply the vessel.
The message is the point.
And Sometimes You Need a Reminder to Carry With You
Then there is my first love—jewelry.
The Provoking Thoughts Collection allows the journey to become personal in another way.
For me, jewelry has never been only about adornment. There is something powerful about wearing a piece that carries meaning—a stone that reminds you of something you learned, a piece whose story speaks to you, or a design that simply causes you to remember who you are and Whose you are.
You put it on, but you carry more than jewelry.
You carry a reminder.
And sometimes, someone else notices the piece and asks a question.
There it is again.
A conversation.
A moment.
A thought provoked.
Different Expressions. Same Assignment.
Devotionals.
Ministry.
Apparel.
Jewelry.
They may appear to be different things, but to me they have never been disconnected.
The expression may change, but the assignment never does.
Provoking Thoughts begins by filling the heart and renewing the mind through Scripture and reflection.
Then it gives faith an opportunity to be expressed outwardly.
And along the way, it offers reminders that we can carry with us.
That is why I describe Provoking Thoughts as a complete faith experience.
Not because a necklace, a shirt, or even something I write can transform a life.
Only God can do that.
But each can become a vessel that causes someone to stop long enough to hear, consider, examine, remember—or return to what God has already said.
And perhaps that is what provoking really means to me.
Creating a moment where we refuse to simply pass by.
We pause.
We examine.
We see differently.
And ultimately, my prayer is that we draw nearer.
So when you see the name Provoking Thoughts, I hope you understand that I am not simply asking you to notice something I have created.
I am inviting you to consider what God may be saying through it.
Because Provoking Thoughts is not what I sell.
It is how I serve.
