You Haven’t Been This Way Before

You Haven’t Been This Way Before

“…for ye have not passed this way heretofore.”

Joshua 3:4

There are moments when life changes its rhythm, and suddenly the familiar instructions don’t seem to fit anymore.

What worked before may not be what God uses now. The routine that once gave your days structure may change. The people, places, responsibilities—even the way you thought something would happen—can shift.

And sometimes the hardest part isn’t that anything is wrong.

It’s simply unfamiliar.

When Israel was preparing to cross the Jordan, they were told to keep their eyes on the presence of God because they had never traveled that way before.

They didn’t need to pretend they knew the road.

They needed to know Who was leading them.

Somebody may be standing at the beginning of a week that doesn’t look like the one they expected. Don’t rush to fill every unfamiliar space. Don’t assume different means bad. And don’t run backward simply because yesterday feels more comfortable than tomorrow.

You may not recognize the road yet.

But God does.

There are places He can lead you that you could never reach by insisting that everything remain the way it has always been.

So this Monday, you don’t need the entire map.

Just stay close enough to God to recognize His direction.

One step.
One instruction.
One ordinary day at a time.

Because even when you can’t say, “I’ve been here before,” you can still say:

“God has.”

Have a beautiful Monday. 🤎
